My therapeutic approach:

  • Throughout life various events, trauma, our childhood, life stressors etc. may condition us to lose touch with our true nature. As a counselor my goal is to help you connect with your authentic Self and the innate wisdom for healing you possess.
  • Creating safety in the therapeutic relationship is essential. Oftentimes when we enter therapy, our relationships may not be a source of ease or trust in our lives. My aim as a counselor is to cultivate a connection built around transparency and honesty – qualities necessary for meaningful change and healing.
  • As human beings our experience of health is based on so much more than our mental landscape. As a counselor my philosophy centers on viewing everyone holistically engaging mind, body, and spirit and assessing their unique needs; from there therapy is tailored to meet individual strengths and goals.
  • Most of us have changes we wish to see in our lives, and in ourselves – sometimes we approach this change with self-criticism and shame. As a counselor one of my goals is to guide clients towards self-compassion and empathetic reflection to release emotional blockages and ultimately create new ways of relating to themselves and their environment.
