My Therapeutic Approach

  •   Our lives can present challenges that may seem hard to face and overcome. We may become lost or stuck at times, not feeling fulfilled and truly happy in our life. Life can then become a balancing act, where we might lose touch with our true self. Gaining awareness of this imbalance is the first step, and I am here to assist with this process.
  • My approach is centered around a safe, warm, and empathetic therapeutic relationship, where the client and therapist establish a healthy connection that creates a container for growth. In establishing this relationship, I use active listening, genuineness, and respect. We work on creating a space that feels safe to explore the root of the issue while learning techniques to reprogram negative thoughts.
  •  I use an integrated and individualized approach involving cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, person-centered therapy, psychoeducation, and somatic therapy. Through these discoveries one can can learn how to set goals, boundaries, and self-acceptance that will enhance their relationship to self and others.
  • I am passionate about nature and music and enjoy incorporating these into therapy as it fits with the client. Whether it is going for a walk, planting a flower, listening to music, singing, or creating a song, using nature and music in therapy can help clients gain greater emotional regulation, increase self-esteem, and improve mood.
