My Therapeutic Approach

  • Most people don't come to counseling to be analyzed. They come because they've been carrying something for a long time, usually alone, and they're tired. It might be a betrayal, a loss that never got the space it deserved, or a quiet sense of falling short. These are chapters, not the whole story, and I'm here to walk through them with you.
  • My work starts with your strengths, not a label. I listen first for what's already working, then we get practical: noticing the patterns that keep a hurt on a loop, learning what a feeling is actually asking for, and choosing a next step small enough to take.
  • I draw from a number of well-established counseling approaches and use what helps you, and you set the direction. Faith is welcome whenever you want it, through Scripture, prayer, or whatever resources matter to you. If you'd rather leave it out, nothing changes about my care.
  • I also support the people standing beside someone they love, families finding their way back to each other, and those who carry everyone else, including pastors, first responders, counselors, and nonprofit leaders.

Jeffrey has spent more than a decade supporting people from nearly every walk of life, and his work is rooted in his faith and his own experience of being supported through a hard season. He holds a Master of Arts in Human Service Counseling and a post-graduate certificate in pastoral counseling from Liberty University, and is completing a second master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Cornerstone University. He is a Board Certified Master Mental Health Coach and Certified Mental Health Advocate through the American Association of Christian Counselors, a Certified Telemental Health Provider, and the author of more than twenty-five books.
