My Therapeutic Approach
- Our lives can present challenges that may feel difficult to understand or move through. At times, you may feel stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected from yourself, unsure of how to access a sense of clarity, fulfillment, or ease. Many people move through life holding difficult experiences just beneath the surface, sensing that something inside needs care, but not yet knowing how to access it. I am here to support you in that process.
- Often, the patterns that hold us back are not flaws, but forms of protection. Parts of us may feel frozen, overwhelmed, or afraid, while other parts work hard to keep everything functioning. These patterns can be difficult to shift through insight alone. By integrating mindfulness, somatic awareness, and whole-person therapies, I help clients begin to understand these internal dynamics and relate to themselves with greater compassion and clarity.
- My approach is centered on creating a safe, steady, and compassionate therapeutic relationship. I believe that healing happens within connection, where you feel respected, heard, and able to explore your inner world without judgment. Through presence, curiosity, and genuine care, we work together to create a space where you can begin to understand the root of your challenges while also building practical tools for navigating them.
- Integrating the methods that work best for you, I draw from Mindfulness, Person-Centered Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Gestalt Therapy, and Expressive Arts. This allows us to explore both thoughts and emotions, while also paying attention to the body and nervous system. Through this work, clients often develop greater self-awareness, emotional resilience, and the ability to respond to themselves with compassion rather than criticism.
- In our sessions, we move at a pace that prioritizes your sense of safety and comfort. Together, we may process difficult experiences, explore relationship patterns, navigate life transitions, or reconnect with parts of yourself that have been pushed aside. Whether you come with clear goals or simply a sense that something needs attention, our work will be guided by your needs and readiness.
