My Therapeutic Approach

  • If you’re feeling stuck in the same thought or behavior patterns, having difficulty adjusting to various life circumstances, or struggling to cope with the vast difficulties of being a human in today’s society, I am here to help. I enjoy working with a wide range of individuals, including those experiencing anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship and family challenges, perfectionism, and low self-esteem and self-confidence.
  • My goal as a therapist is to show up authentically and hold a safe space for you to share your thoughts, feelings, and fears without judgment. I will challenge you to grow and learn about yourself while supporting you through compassionate understanding throughout the process. My aim is that every client I work with feels safe, empowered, understood, and deeply cared for.
  •  In therapy, I employ a holistic and integrative approach, focusing on the person sitting in front of me as a whole, but also working to uncover the parts of the whole that are causing persistent pain and challenges. Every person is different, and I vary my approach based on your unique needs, frequently drawing on mindfulness approaches such as acceptance and commitment therapy, somatic approaches, and cognitive behavioral therapy.

Nina has a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Western States and is currently a third-year doctoral candidate in Sport and Performance Psychology. She has over ten years of experience coaching athletes from a holistic perspective, focusing on mind, body, and spirit rather than results. She applies that same philosophy to her therapeutic approach with every client. Nina specializes in working with athletes and clients with ADHD, and she also enjoys working with individuals experiencing anxiety and depression, transitional challenges, relationship challenges, perfectionism, disordered eating, and low self-esteem.
