My Therapeutic Approach:

I believe that healing happens in safe, supportive relationships, and I know that opening up to someone, especially when you’ve been hurt before, takes courage. If you’re reading this and feeling unsure, I want you to know that it’s okay. I’ll meet you right where you are.

As a counselor-in-training, my heart is to walk alongside people—not to fix or judge, but to listen, encourage, and help you feel less alone in whatever you’re facing. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe, genuinely cared for, and empowered to be yourself. I’ll show up as my real self, and I’ll work to earn your trust every step of the way.

I have a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Carson-Newman University, where I’m also completing my master’s in clinical mental health counseling. My background includes working with children in schools and therapy settings (i.e., providing special education, trauma-informed care, and ABA therapy), coaching youth volleyball, and offering support to mothers recovering from addiction. These experiences have taught me that people are incredibly strong, and even when life feels overwhelming, change is possible.

I’ve received training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Psychological First Aid (PFA), and I enjoy utilizing techniques from approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Play Therapy, and Mindfulness. But, more than any method, I believe in the importance of connection, trust, and compassion.

Whether you’re facing a difficult season or just need someone to talk to, I’m here to walk with you through it. I enjoy working with a wide variety of individuals including children, teens, adults, and couples. I welcome anyone who is navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, trauma, relationship struggles, boundary-setting, or simply desiring to learn how to treat themselves with more kindness. I believe in your ability to grow and heal, and I would be honored to support you as you take those steps.
