It has been proven that what happens in the mind and body are connected, yet many only treat one aspect of the problem. Come learn from two practitioners that have vast experience in clinically treating the mind and body. The class will be experiential and didactic, so that you will understand as well as experience how they work together. This is a great combination of techniques to address pain in the body, release stuck feelings, change negative energy, address chronic illness, help with anxiety and stress, and relax your overall system.

Myofascial release is a gentle manual treatment that releases the connective tissue within the body to unwind old patterns and release trauma and injury, giving freedom of movement to muscles joints and bones for healthy living.

Gabrielle Fisher has a master’s degree in occupational therapy and has worked with clients for over 13 years. She was a Yoga instructor for over 17 years and her current specialty is using manual treatment to address long standing issues. She studied myofascial release with John Barnes and now is a program manager for an outpatient facility in Rockford and Belvidere. She also sees clients in her private practice in Woodstock at Pure Acupuncture and Woodstock Natural Healthcare.

Celeste Ballard, LCPC, LMT is a local Woodstock counselor who combines the best of traditional psychology with mindfulness based and body-centered therapies to create more happiness and peace in one’s life. She is the owner of Within Holistic Counseling and has 3 years of clinical training in Buddhist based psychology and 15 years of training in spiritual psychology. She works with the philosophy that events impact us physically, emotionally, cognitively, and spiritually. She has been a Therapist for 25 years and has had a meditation practice for over 15 years.
